Honestly, you can file your 2019 and 2020 now. You do not need to wait until 2018 is processed. You should have all of the information needed if you have carryforward items. Most cases, one return does not require the others to be processed.
Amended returns are the last to be processed and of course 2020 was a very unique year because of the pandemic and the Stimulus payments that ONLY IRS processes.
There are amended returns that have been filed since July 2020 that have not been processed yet.
