The only way it will ask you to pay is if you decided to register for Audit Defence or added another offer (like our Plus bundle), TurboTax will prompt you to pay the difference. If you look at the payment page beside where it tells you how much to pay- it will say what you opt for and that is why you are being charged.
You will need to start your return over again and be sure not to say "YES" or opt into any extra services if you would like It to be free.
