How do I Import 2020 Windows Desktop Data to Online Account on MacBook?
After years of doing my taxes on a PC and easily importing the previous year's data when starting a new return, I want to switch to the online version using my MacBook. Will I be able to import the data from the pdf copy of last year's return if I save a copy in Dropbox?
Secondary question, if I start my online return on a PC, can I continue on a MacBook, or do I need to use the same operating system?

Importing your data
Unfortunately, you can't transfer TurboTax Online returns into TurboTax CD/Download. TurboTax Online can't create .tt files, which is what TurboTax CD/Download uses.
TurboTax Online works on any computer that can use an up-to-date browser. So, if you start your Online return on a PC, you can finish it on your Mac (or vice-versa). You can also open the same tax return on our TurboTax App (for Android or iPhone).
