How is it possible that my unused federal amount available to carry forward to a future year is way less than the amount that was brought forward from last year?
Are you talking about tuition amounts? Any carry
forwards from the previous year will be used to offset taxes payable this year.
So the amount that will carry forward into next year may be reduced or even
eliminated in certain cases.
