My spouse is non-resident, living outside of Canada and has no Canadian income. What to put under the mandatory question "Net income from last year's federal tax return"?

If your spouse does not have any income from Canadian sources, you need to enter $0.
You pay taxes on the income you receive from sources in Canada if you are not a resident of Canada. Your income determines the type of tax you pay and whether you need to file an income tax return. Generally, non-residents who receive payment from Canada are subject to Part XIII tax or Part I tax.
