We rent a room in our principal residence. I enter ed all expenses and Turbotax would calculated rental based on the proportion of the house rented. Can it still do this?
If you are using the Free Online version of TurboTax, you must manually calculate and enter only the rental expense portion. The software will not perform the calculations for you based on a percentage used for personal use.
