If property tax is paid through mortgage, would i claim the amount i paid into the tax account for the year or the amount thay my property tax actually was?
In ontario, mortgage payment includes a portion to go towards property tax and at the end of the year the amount I paid into the tax account was higher than the property tax ended up being

Investors and rental owners
You should claim the actual amount of property tax that you paid on your income tax return. Do not add any of your mortgage payments.
