I need to pass on 50% of our capital gains to my wife. The Downlaod/CD does not allow for that. Many questions have been asked about this but no one is telling us how to actually do it. I am assuming that it will be an override but which line do we deal with ? Which line do I use to reduce my amount of capital gains and which line to I use to increase my wife's capital gains ?
