Will tuition credits carry over to common law partner?
I have tuition credits carried forward from previous years and am now filing with a common law partner. Will they automatically go towards my partners taxes? Can I choose to keep them for myself?
Any tuition amount you have "carried forward" will only apply to your own return and used when needed to reduce your tax payable. Carried forward tuition credits cannot be transferred.
