To remove the line 303 claim, you'll need to change the answer to a question in Forms view.
- From Easy Step Interview view, click the Forms button in the upper right to change to forms view.
- Near the bottom of the screen, choose the spouse who currently has the spousal amount you'd like to remove. Beside that spouse's name is a tab marked Forms. Click that tab and select the form named INFOWS.
- When the form opens, locate the question "Are you eligible to claim the spousal amount?" in the Taxpayer Filing Information section.
- Change the answer from Yes to No.
- Click the option for Easy Step at the top of the screen to return to the interview view.
These steps will remove the spousal amount.
