In order to identify you having a child, you need to enter your dependant information when asked if you have a dependant in the profile section of your income tax return.  Answer yes to the question, "are there other deductions such as public transit, union or professional dues or alimony that you want to claim?" Put a checkmark next to "I had other deductions not covered above."  This is in the Profile section of your income tax return as well.  You will then be prompted to enter adoption fees once you get to the deductions section of your income tax return.
