Support by remittances to overseas family members are never recognised as a deduction from income by CRA.
Under certain circumstances, CRA will permit spousal credit to a Canadian tax resident who sop ports a non-resident partner who,has no other source of income. This is the exception as the CRA will require documentation to support a spousal credit claim.
