No, you cannot add your newborn child that was born in 2021 on your 2020 tax return. To claim a baby as a dependent for 2020 the baby must have been born during the current tax year, in other words, the baby had to be born before or on December 31, 2020.
Your baby was born after 31 December 2020. Therefore, you will wait until 2022. When you file your taxes for the 2021 season, you can claim your baby as a dependent.
