Dependent Parents
My parents are both in their 70's and live in a house I own. I pay for their expenses, and I assist when they have appointments, need groceries, etc.
Can I claim the expenses paid on the house they live in? Such as property taxes, heat, lights, insurance?

Troubleshooting
No, you would not be able to claim those as an expense. However, you may be eligible for the dependent credit amount. To find out if you are eligible for the dependant credit, here is a link to an article by TurboTax.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
