Troubleshooting

I do have a child under the age of 18 that I am claiming

Troubleshooting

Once you set up the child in TurboTax then go to the Schedule1A form and click on the 2nd box beside the words "I confirm that all amounts have been correctly entered for my spouse".  Remember, the net tax amounts shown on your returns will not change. The only change you will see is the refund amounts will be higher ... or the amount owing will be lower.

Are you filing a joint return? Unfortunately TurboTax seems to only calculate the Family Tax Credit consistently that way. See TonyC1's great response https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/questions/1043344-income-splitting-2014-tax-changes.
