Turbotax is not updating manual or otherwise

download is not working... 2016 version is not updating for 2017 now I bought this last year with the intention of using it however the tax person I used the previous year I thought might have more saved back taxes so I filed with them last year to make sure if I did have any back taxes saved from previous year they would have that on there file... would not filing with turbotax last year have any effect for trying to file this year?

Troubleshooting

You cannot update TurboTax for tax year 2016 to file your 2017 tax return. You need to purchase TurboTax for tax year 2017.

You can use TurboTax to file your taxes this year even if you didn't use TurboTax last year. When you enter your information in TurboTax, ensure you are entering your carryforward amounts from the previous year. You can find your carryforward amounts from your Notice of Assessment for 2016 or by contacting the CRA if you tax return preparer did not hand this information to you.
