What total should I put in prescriptions? Before or after insurance?

 

Troubleshooting

If you have been reimbursed by your insurance or private health plan, you can only claim the amount you actually paid. "After Insurance".

  • If you pay the full amount then submit your receipts, subtract the reimbursement from the total and claim the remainder.
  • If the pharmacy subtracts the insurance paid portion at the time you fill the prescription, claim the amount you paid.
