2024 CPP overpayment - program error

I completed my 2024 return for myself and my wife. both tax returns are showing all CPP contributions as an overpayment. my father did my brothers return and same problem -all CPP contributions showing as an overpayment. Is Turbotax going to fix this program error? and yes the right Province was selected when entering the T4 slips. and yesterday (Feb 22/2025) I installed the latest product update.

Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online?

I have had the same problem since April 6/25, and no one has done anything about it.

I know this may be a bit late, but the same thing happened to all the returns I did, so I messed around with the software and come to the conclusion that you have to enter the amount in box 26 of your T4 and the overpayment amount will be removed, hence the correct refund

Thanks

@donman You are right! CPP or QPP contributions are linked to box 26 - pensionable earnings.

On your T4, if it's blank, (it's empty, not even zero), you need to enter the amount from box 14 (up to a max of $73,200). This amount is pensionable earnings and should activate CPP/QPP contributions.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
