All sources of taxable income that you report will be included in your total income, including any that are subsequently deductible, such as social security payments, or foreign amounts exempted by tax treaty.

Amounts that are not taxable, such as full time scholarships, won’t be included.

Certain types of income such as Canada Child Benefit, and amounts received from TFSAs are not taxable and should not be reported.
