Are shipping costs deductible along with the cost of medical cannabis or do I omit these fees when claiming the amount for this?

Adding up medical marijuana costs and I'm wondering whether or not to omit shipping fees or if I'm able to claim the entire cost of the bill.

You are able to deduct shipping fees when it comes to claiming medical expenses.

According to the CRA’s list of allowable medical expenses, you need to have had a prescription, and you can claim the amounts for cannabis, cannabis oil, plant seeds, or “products purchased for medical purposes”, from a licensed provider.

Like your other medical expenses, you can claim for any period of 12 months, not previously claimed, provided the final month falls within the tax year.  For 2019, you can claim your total eligible medical expenses, less than $2,397 (or 3% of your net income, whichever is less).
