Can I claim for insulation and siding that we had installed on our residence? We have no disabilities. I am 75 my spouse is 64.

We had new insulation and siding put on to our place of residence this year.  Neither my spouse have any disabilities.  My spouse is 64 and I am 75.  May we claim our expense for this on our taxes this year.

Unfortunately, no. Because the renovations did not improve mobility or accessibility, they are not tax-deductible.
