Can I claim health insurance premiums that were paid through my employer but box 85 does not appear on my T4.

I was on Maternity leave for part of the year and was paying the benefits directly, instead of being taken off my pay.

If you can show documentation supporting these payments, then yes.

@TurboTaxJeffrey I have the same situation as the OP: where would the amounts paid directly to the employer be entered in the Turbotax software? Manually in box 85?

If you have health insurance premiums that are not shown on your T4 you can enter them as a medical expense.
