Can I claim my adult son's disability on the tax form and how do I do this?

I tried to use the spouse transfer but it said I could not do that if I was single and when I added him as a dependent it said he could not be a dependent as he is over 18.  I am stumped.

Yes, you can claim your adult son 18 years of age and older if he is – either biological, adopted or stepchildren– who have an impairment (or infirmity) in physical or mental functions
