Can i ignore declaring spouse income in filing my return of income

Even if you choose to prepare your returns separately, you will still need to enter certain information about your spouse. Your spouse's net income for the tax year is required to calculate certain spousal credits. If you don’t know their net income, you can enter an estimate for now, and then put in the correct amount before filing.
