When you complete a joint return you need to file both returns separately. Once yours has been filed you need to go back and click on your spouse's name and NetFIle their return.

@Jugsy1 Did you make sure to file both returns? When you use NETFILE to submit your returns to the CRA, each return is sent separately, even if you have prepared your returns together. In TurboTax Online, you'll see 2 NETFILE buttons, one for each spouse, on the Filing Hub page.
