Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?

I tried & updated Windows 11 and it still does not work Got no response/help from the phone number.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboTax 2023 or where ever you have TurboTax installed.
Right click on tt2023.exe and select Properties. Then click on the compatibility tab. Make sure nothing is checked under Compatibility Mode. If there is something checked, uncheck it and click OK. Then try to start TurboTax again.

Now, hope you can help. Earlier in the day, I had filled out a form and requested a refund.
Anything you can do to stop that or should I just wait and see what they do?
You just need to wait. Since you were able to successfully install the software, they will see the activation and likely deny the refund.

You can use Windows search to look for it. Or check C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboTax 2023, which is the default installation location.
I uninstall and re-install from the 2023 CD and search again in your captioned folder, but there is still no such tt2023.exe is found. Only a tt2923.exe.config file is found. And still I cannot open a 2022 file from my USB using this 2023 version with my new Window 11 laptop.
