You need to be in different tax brackets from your spouse for the Family Tax cut to kick in.

If my spouse earned $98K and I earned only the UCCB (plus a loss of ~$200 in a small home based business), why is the Family Tax Cut not being offered to us?

I'm not done entering in all of our expenses yet, but we have 5 children and this is our 4th or 5th year using turbotax and paying for it. (with the exception of 2012 an accountant did our taxes for us).

Click the deductions tab and choose deductions summary. You will see it shown there.

Okay, is it the deduction marked "Tax on Split Income"? Because that doesn't seem correct - what would it be called? I'm not seeing anything using the actual words "Family Tax Cut" - and Tax on Split Income seems to be referring to something involving one of our parents and that's not what I'm looking for.
