Do you add T4 and T4a to get total net income?

Simply put, no.

If you add up all the income numbers from each slip, you can get your Total Income line 150.

This would have to include income from all sources for you, employmem,investment, pension, etc.

Some income may not be reported on a slip, but you still need to report it to CRA.

Your Net Income line 236 is a Net of deductions such as RRSP contributions, Union dues etc.

Don’t try to add up income amounts prior to entry. Each slip should be entered separately.
