For the downloaded version of the software, to enter your 1099-INT, you will go under Deductions & Credits - Payments Profile and you will check off - Paid income tax to a foreign country and click continue to enter in your interest paid.

I thought the foreign slip section was specifically for listing foreign employment income. 1099-INTs are issued by banks and report interest paid.

That doesn't sound right. 1099-INT is an income form (interest paid to *me*), why would I enter it under Deductions & Credits?

Yes but because we have a tax treaty with the US, you are avoiding being double taxed.  Please review this link for further assistance.
