Hi, how can I view previously filed T5008 slips (i.e. with my 2016) return ? I may have made an error and seeing them would clear things up.

If you used TurboTax Online Standard, Premier or Home & Business last year:

1. In the upper-right corner of your screen, select Find*.

2. In the Find window, type in T5008, select “T5008 Securities Transactions”. Then click the “Go” button to view your T5008 slips.

If you used TurboTax Online Free last year, click on “Your Taxes”, to see your entered slips.

If you used TurboTax Online in 2016 to do your tax return for that year, then unfortunately, those servers have been shut down and the files are no longer available. We didn’t offer long term storage of returns at that time either.

However, you can still get the information that was contained in your 2016 tax returns from the CRA. You can do this through their My Account service, which you can login into from this page: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/e-services-individuals/account-individua...

If you still need to do a tax return for 2016, you can use TurboTax CD/Download (if you have a Windows PC), which you can purchase here: https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax-software/prior-year-taxes.jsp#2016
