Hi. my last file tax was done on March 23 / 25 and i still have not yet receive the access code 8 characteristic.

I called cra, they said they don't have any form in mine so i need to contact to the assistant of the app.

If you didn't get a NETFILE confirmation code, then your return was not submitted. To submit your tax return using NETFILE, follow these instructions for TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop.

it said:

We are sorry the CRA was unable to accept your NETFILE Tax return. ( in red)

 

1. Messesge from CRA:

CRA result code: 15 

Your account is locked. You need to contact CRA ( which i did called them and they said it's not lock and they find nothing in my file)

 

2. You have 2 options:

Try NETFILE again ( which i have try many many time and the results are the same)

Print and mail your return to CRA

You'll need to contact the CRA to unlock your NETFILE account.

You have 5 attempts to NETFILE your return. If none of those attempts are successful, then you are locked out of your NETFILE account. Only the CRA can unlock this for you.

 

Your NETFILE account is different from your My Account, which is not needed to be able to NETFILE your return.

I think i need to mail the return after all. thank you for trying to help and I appreciated your time. 

 

"CRA Result Code: 31

The information sent to the Canada Revenue Agency doesn't match the information currently on record, which was provided by Service Canada.

If you are unable to resolve the issue after verifying your identification, for you to receive all the benefits and deductions to which you are entitled and to verify our validations, the Canada Revenue Agency needs you to file a paper return and attach all pertinent slips and receipts. The Canada Revenue Agency regrets the inconvenience. "

NETFILE error code 31 means the identification information you are submitting to the CRA via NETFILE doesn't match what they have on file for you. Compare the identification info in TurboTax with:

  • Your previous year successfully filed tax return or
  • Your SIN card or letter issued by Service Canada

 

Here's how to check for errors:

TurboTax Online

  1. From 2024 tax return select Personal info > Edit.
  2. At Your personal info summary, beside your name, select Edit.
  3. At Let’s get the rest of your personal info, review your personal info.

TurboTax Desktop

  1. From the left menu, select Introduction.
  2. Review the information in that section.

 

If you can't fix the problem after verifying your personal information, you'll need to print & file your return.
