Are you preparing a US tax return? This is the support site for the Canadian TurboTax. For assistance with U.S. versions of TurboTax, please visit: https://ttlc.intuit.com/

Are you preparing a Canadian tax return? If so, you can tell if your wife is on your return by looking under My Info at the top of the left side menu.

If you see sections that say “[Spouse name]’s personal Information” and “Additional Information about [Spouse name]”, then you are preparing only your own return.

If you see sections that say “[Spouse name]’s personal Information” and “[Spouse name]’s Change in residency”, then you are preparing both your returns at the same time.

You can include your w2 on your 2018 tax return as foreign income. You can make changes to a past year’s tax return through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or through ReFILE.
