How do I download turbotax from 2018, 2019, 2020? I have the installation code and original email. Download link does not work.

I purchased TurboTax 2018, 2019, 2020 and filed one return. I now need to file additional returns. The download link in the original email no longer works. How do I access it?

I have downloaded and paid over $700 for Business tax 2018/2019, 2020/2021 and 2022/2023

i have completed all of the returns now Intuit has blocked me from filing! What is the issue I need a resolution ASAP!

What is the error you are getting? Do you mean you cannot Netfile?

Tried to reinstall TT 2018/2019.  Entered my Install code.  Then a new window popped up telling me to call an Intuit 800 number to get an 'activation code' associate with my install code.  called the 800 number and it has been discontinued.  also having problem reinstalling TT 2020 - 2022.  Different issue. After installing as well as software update, I get a pop up window indicating that the app can't connect to the internet, while the internet is functioning perfectly and even the app update was done.  What's up?

Just called customer support about this same issue regarding the 2018 version I had previously purchased.

 

During installation I got stuck at the exact same screen as the person above.  Online activation was unsuccessful, and the phone number the popup directed to for phone activation had an automated message stating that the number is no longer supported.

 

Customer support told me that 2018 is no longer supported, and that even though I had a valid installation key, they were unwilling to help me turn the installation key into an activation key to be able to use the software at all.

 

As of this date 2025-Feb-06, on

You can pay for and download past years 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and including 2018.

How are you currently selling a product that you are not willing to support?

@AntonS1 Have you made sure that there's no security/anti-malware software blocking TurboTax Desktop? Ex: Windows Defender, Norton, McAfee etc... You may need to add TurboTax as an exception, or temporarily disable the software while you activate the program.  

 

You can also try to force TurboTax to retry online activation using the following steps;

  1. Go to the path "C:\ProgramData\Intuit Canada\tt2018\"
  2. Delete TTConfig.ini file
  3. Launch TurboTax 2018
  4. It will ask you to enter the License code - enter it and try to activate again.

Using Windows 11 with default firewall and antivirus.

 

Temporarily disabled the firewall and added the whole TurboTax 2018 installation folder to windows defender exclusion list.

Deleted TTConfig.ini from the ProgramData folder.

Relaunched TurboTax 2018

Reentered the Installation keycode

Attempted to activate, same screens popped up directing to phone activation.

 

Thanks for the reply, still stuck on the activation.

Unfortunately I was unable to answer my phone for the call back.

However I was able to resolve my activation issue today by calling customer support.

The tool in the support link for 2018 and earlier worked for me with a valid Installation Key I had with the original installation cd.
