Your self-employment income as an Uber driver partner is entered on the form T2125 - found within the self-employment section of your return.

Enter your gross income (found on your tax summary from Uber) in the field named Sales, Commissions, or fees.

Gross Income? You mean including the uber share of fares and booking fees? and then claim those as deductions?

Yes. The gross income is entered (including fees) and then the various fees are deducted later in the T2125.

Hi, Where should I write Uber service fee deduction on the T2125 form?

Service fees are recorded as Management and Administration fees - The spot to enter these fees is in the Self Employed section of your return - Business Expenses - Banking Charges and Other fees. It's right after the screen for office expenses and other supplies

You can't claim if you dont have receipt. Did you use one credit card for business return? if yes then you can add the amount from the credit card. Otherwise if you get audited then you are in trouble

I need help with Uber HST filing. I'm been taxi driver for long . but from jan 2017 did uber. Do I have to show hst from Jan to June without hst collected or need to pay from my pocket?

If you didn't collect HST between Jan and July 1, no need to pay it out of your pocket. You'll need to separate the income on your tax summary from Uber to properly reflect the amount of income you earned that had HST charged on it when you're completing the HST return.

Hi I want to be clear on this:

  • Under total revenue column-I should enter Gross trip fares? from the Fares breakdown column or Total (including Gross trip fares+booking fees+Regulatory fees+Airport fee+Misc+Tolls+Tips+GST/Hst collected from riders)
  • Under Sales and commissions column - What do I need to enter
  • Talking about GST column there are two Lines for GST in Uber tax summary report-One GST collected from riders and seconfld GST paid to uber

The entire summary report is confusing me and there are not clear instructions or video
