How do I override WITB? I have t4 with income in box 14 even though it's not employment income. It is my employers payment to my pension plan as I am off on disability.

I am off on disability so my employer pays my portion of my pension payments.  Therefore, they issue a T4 with an amount in box 14, even though I don't work.  When I try to override the WITB and say "don't claim", it automatically transfers the claim to my husband who also does not work

Income in Box 14 of a T4 is still eligible for WITB calculation, even if it's employer-paid benefits.  Box 14 is reported on line 101 of your return and is included in the calculations on Schedule 6 for WITB.

If you go to Forms Mode in TurboTax you can search for Schedule 6 and see the conditions and income sources included in the calculations.  Please make sure you have correctly entered all of your slips and other earnings, and answered all required questions surrounding your residency, student status, dependants, disability tax credit, and other qualifying questions available on TurboTax form INFOWS (Personal Information Worksheet).

If TurboTax has calculated an amount of WITB for you, you are eligible to receive that payment.
