How do I report Self Employment income with no income earned, and no business expenses, and also report ODSP and Employment Income on the same Tax Return ?

I'm a Self Employed Photographer, just starting and I had no clients last year. Thus I had no income. However, I do work part time and I'm on ODSP at the same time. This creates a complicated situation.

If your business has not actually started and you have generated no income, there is no need to report this on your 2017 tax return.

For your T4 and ODSP, you can report the income from these slips using any version of TurboTax, including "Free". Our Free version offers the same calculations, review and Accuracy Guarantee, but does not provide any assistance with your entries as our paid versions do with the EasyStep Interview.

You may also wish to try our "Assist & Review" service, where a live agent can assist you with your situation, no matter how complicated it may seem 🙂
