I am submitting returns for me and my spouse. I do not want to pay what I owe on my return when combined we are getting a refund. How do I skip the payment option?

You can't skip payment. Although you've prepared your returns together at the same time, per the CRA's requirement, you still need to prepare and file two separate returns. CRA processes the two returns as two separate returns.
