I am trying to start a return but Turbotax wont allow me. They want to sell services that I do not need ?

If you are using TurboTax Online, you pay based on what is on your return. Please see this TurboTax Canada FAQ for more information on who can use Free: Who can file for free using TurboTax?

If you used TurboTax Online last year and transferred your information to this year, it will automatically select the same version that you used last year (Deluxe, Premier, Self-Employed, Assist & Review, etc...). If you want to use a different version, you'll need to start a new return without transferring your information. To start a new blank return, select “Start a New Return” from under “My Returns” in the bottom left corner. Then select "Create a Different Return".

I solved it by asking to load last years... then it stopped asking me to buy services that i do not need or want

If you do not need an upgrade, you can ignore it and continue; however, if your tax situation requires a specific version of TurboTax to prepare your return, it will prompt you to upgrade because each version has different features, and not all forms are available in the Free or Deluxe versions.
