If you are receiving a "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" message while trying to install TurboTax 2022 from a CD, it is likely that the CD is either damaged or corrupted. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the CD. Make sure you clean it from the center to the edge, rather than in a circular motion. Also, check the CD for any visible scratches or marks that could be causing the error.
Try installing the software on a different computer or a different CD/DVD drive on the same computer. Sometimes the CD drive itself can be the problem.
Please try installing using the download. You can download the current version of TurboTax CD/download edition here: Choose the 2022 TurboTax edition you need (for Windows).

Thank you for replying. Late yesterday I was able to resolve the issue & download the cd. It was either one or a combo of activities. I ran Check(disk) in File Explorer, routine maintenance, then rebooting the computer. Don't know which did the trick but I was able to register with the cd & am now doing input on Turbotax. Thanks again for taking the time to reply. Cheers.
