I am using a valid Turbotax code, but it won't let me sign in.. Is it because I'm not in Canada? (I JUST moved to Australia)

My intention is to use the Turbotax code we are sharing between our family, but when I try login to activate the account on my computer it does not allow me. I did not have time to do my taxes for the 2020 year before leaving Canada to move down under a week ago, and I'm wondering as to whether the change in location may be the cause for my difficulty logging in.

Are you using TurboTax Online? If so, you only need to enter your Activation Code once. If you try to enter it again, in the same account or in a different one, you'll get an error message, because the code has already been used. You can login using this page if you have already used your code: https://ww1.2020.turbotaxonline.intuit.ca/

 

FYI: You can only use the Activation Code with one account. So if you want to share your returns with your family or friends, you will all need to use the same account to prepare your returns.

 

If you are using TurboTax CD/Download, then there is no need to login anywhere. You would download the software and enter your Licence Key while installing the program. You can download the software here: https://turbotax.intuit.ca/product/download/index.jsp
