I had to pay $5000.00 to a Rehad center for my adult child who is not a dependant. Can I use this as a deduction and if so what do I put it under

I had to pay $5000.00 out to send my adult son to a rehab center.  My son is 33 and not a dependant.  Can I use this as a deduction?  If so where do I claim it?

You can't claim Medical expense credit on your line 331 unless they are a dependant.
For example your son would need to be living with you and dependant on you because of infirmity.
