Didn't the left-hand frame have a list of sections and you could jump back and forth to fix items where you still needed to chase info (example new T5s come in)?
The items that were on the side have now moved onto the Tax Home page, including the search function. You can still use the search to find things you need.
Thank you for your reply. I agree but don't agree. The search isn't great. I had previously entered some information for "Carrying charges", wanted to check or change the data, and did a search on "carrying" with no search results.
Also, same for "sale" or "rental". I was able to enter rental income and expenses, but can't find where to enter the information for the sale of our rental condo.
@the23boss- If you sell a rental property for more than it cost, you may have a capital gain.
List the dispositions of all your rental properties on Schedule 3, Capital Gains (or Losses). For more information on how to calculate your taxable capital gain, see Guide T4037, Capital Gains.
For more information please check this CRA link: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/businesses/topics/rental-income/capital-cost-allowance-rental-property/determining-capital-cost-property-special-situations/selling-your-rental-property.html
We will also like to inform you that Schedule 3 - Capital Gains or Losses is one of the locked forms that is not finalized by CRA yet.
