I pay out of pocket for various seminar costs, then fully bill the client. Where do I enter? They don't appear to be netting off my income correctly.

You will claim the invoiced amount as income. Then get the offsetting deduction by claiming what "you" paid for as expenses. Don't forget to claim the GST collected as well.
