I purchased companies in the oil and gas sector on the TSX. Regarding the alternative minimum tax do I need to report anything for income from the production of petrol?

I did earn dividends.  The question I'm looking for an answer for is "ncome (including royalties) from production of petroleum, natural gas, and minerals, before carrying charges, resource expenditures, and depletion allowances included above (if negative, enter "0")"

This question pertains to businesses that have a working interest in oil and gas production. Say for example, owning rights to a coal mine. As you are a shareholder and only receive dividends, you are not required to report any number on this, but to instead report the dividends earned in your investments profile.
