I purchased the standard return and have a licence code would I just start a new return,then input the code once I've completed my taxes? no other charges will apply

If you have a licence code, then that is for TurboTax CD/Download (for Windows). It will not work with TurboTax Online.

 

You can download the 2020 edition of TurboTax CD/download edition here: Where can I download the CD/download edition of TurboTax? When you install the software, you will be asked for your licence code. Then you will be able to prepare your returns.
