I purchased turbo tax at costco and I have my activation code but I can't transfer my 2023 taxes to start my 2024 taxes?

What version of TurboTax did you use last year? And which version are you using this year? 

If you used the online version last year and are using a desktop version this year, unfortunately, you can't import your previous tax year's data from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop. TurboTax Online can't export anything other than a PDF file, and TurboTax Desktop can't open PDF files. Only .ttxx files

If you have bought TurboTax Online, please go to turbotax.ca/activate to use your code before you start your returns. 

 

If you have bought TurboTax Desktop, you can download the current version of TurboTax Desktop edition here: Choose the current TurboTax Desktop edition you need (for Windows).
