If I can't find my 2016 assessment can I still complete my 2017 taxes without it?

Since I can't find my 2016 assessment for my husband and I, I don't know if I am missing information that will stop me from completing my taxes.

For most people, they don’t really need their Notice Of Assessment from the last tax year to do their current tax year return. However, if you find you do need information from you NOA, you can access it through the CRA “My Account” website. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/e-services-individuals/account-individua...
