Manuslly enterimg stocks from a margin account that has US and Canadian sides to the account. Do I enter these as two seperate T5008s or combined as one US$ converted

Manually enterimg stocks from a margin account that has US and Canadian sides. Do I enter these as two seperate T5008s or combined as one with US$ converted

Hi @tom178,

 

If you received a T5008 slip, enter the amounts as provided from the institution in the T5008 section in TurboTax. 

 

If you have securities transactions not reported on a slip, this would be entered under "Capital Gains and Capital Gains Deduction Profile" section. Note that all amounts need to be in CAD using either an actual exchange, or posted exchange rate (maintain consistency of exchange rate source in the event of a document request by the CRA).
