My spouse is self-employed and won't know his income until June once the accountant is done. How am I to enter his information if I want to file my return right now?

Hi sbarber72,

Are you able to provide an approximation of the income your spouse has earned in the year? The reason the software requires this information is to make sure that some of the large credits that can be transfered from one spouse to the other are not calculated incorrectly.

For exemple, if you spouse earns less then $11,383.00 as net income (line 236 of the T1 General) then the software will calculate the spouse or common-law partner amount on line 303 of the T1 General.
