Are you using TurboTax CD/Download or TurboTax Online? What exactly is happening when you go to enter this amount?
I'm using the downloadable version. The digital news subscription is not listed in the 'forms' section and one cannot enter an amount for it in the General T1 form either.
I am using TurboTax desktop Basic. I can not enter an amount for the Digital News Subscription News Tax Credit. When I click on the link it opens the T1 General from and highlights box 31350 in yellow but an amount can not be entered.

I have the same issue. Did you ever get a response.
I'm having the same problem. I have the CD version and it won't allow me to claim the digital news subscription amount.
This appears to be an unresolved or ignored problem since it was first raised 2 weeks ago,
Is there anybody home at TurboTax Canada?
I opened my Turbo Tax this morning and when I clicked on deductions, there was a box to check for digital subscription credit. I also got the software update that many of us had trouble downloading. I suppose the line to claim the credit came with the update.
Downloaded update this morning, did not resolve the issue. Still can not enter value for digital subscription. And complete radio silence from Turbo Tax. And there is no email or phone that we can reach them at, keep giving me the US contacts. Perhaps I will send them a bill for the tax amount I will be missing out on., $62. Worse customer service I have seen in a while.
What version are you using? No update was available whan I logged in about 10:30 MDT.
Desktop Basic version. Version 00.01.61 Build 6010 068G22.
Finally got a phone number for help and problem solved. You have to open the T1 General form by going into Form view, once opened you have to increase the text size to be able to enter an amount. In the Easy Step increase the text size does not increase the text of the form, just the EasyStep instructions. Than You to Melissa at the Turbo Tax help desk.
Re: My TurboTax doesn't allow me to enter an amount for digital news subscription credit.
Where do I enter the amount of the digital news subscription?
I figured it out. If you have partly finished a tax return and then find there is more more information to enter, you have to go all the way back to the interview/questionaire part and find the place where you answer (with a tick) that you want to claim the digital news subscription credit, (or add any other info).
I have the same problem as above regarding the news subscription. I cannot enter the amount. I am using turbo tax download. Nothing happens when I trey to enter the amount
If you don't check the box for digital descriptions in the interview, it won't let you enter an amount in Turbo Tax Desktop or Turbo Tax Online.
If you are using the Forms method, Jan's answer (see previous posts) works:

I am using Turbo Tax Download. Line 31350 will not let me enter any amount?
It is likely that you did not check of the box in the "My Info" section of Turbo Tax.
I went back and corrected mine and my wife's info page indicating we both had digital news subscriptions and populated the boxes when the program asked for the amount of the subscriptions. But, 'I input them and yet the summary of the program taxes payable before Net-filing does not show our respective digital news subscription tax credits.
Frustrating!
